Dan and Kristen Lewis Rocking the Estate on the Halifax
Dan and Kristen were a lot of fun to work with and they had a lot of great, special moments (and surprise moments) during their special day. From Dan getting a surprise gift from his future wife before the wedding, to both of them surprising their parents, family, and friends that they are expecting a baby at the reception – it was truly a day to remember!
I had the opportunity to work alongside Dan and Kimberly from Our Day Wedding Photography (great photographers and highly recommended, brides, if you are looking), Lyndsey Dickinson, wedding planner, and an outstanding DJ, Jason Talley.
I started off the day getting some detailed shots of the reception and the venue overall, and then moved inside with the ladies. From there, it was off to the guys to cover them a little bit as well as shadow Dan/Kim as they were taking pictures between both parties. The ceremony followed and then their kick-butt reception kicked in after that with plenty of good times and dancing.
In additional to the film, Dan and Kristen will also receive full documentary edits of all of their special events (i.e. cake cutting, speeches, parent dances, guest comments, and their shoe game that they played — which was hilarious). LOL … While other videographers charge extra for this, this is standard with my packages. The way I see it — I’m already moving through that particular segment of footage anyway (for example, your toasts/speeches) and cutting and slicing particular segments out of it to put in your main film — so it’s just a matter of going back to that segment and rendering it out for you. Their film, as you see, is also jam packed with beautiful content and memories and is not your typical 5-8 minute film that others offer. Please, “…. ain’t nobody got time for that …” LOL.
If you’re interested in booking your wedding with me for video, I encourage you to contact me. I can answer any questions that you may have and go over how I do things for your wedding.
Have a great week everyone! – James
