Ironically enough, the overcast conditions created such beautiful light in the sky and we definitely took advantage of that as you’ll see in the pictures below. I also absolutely adored their daughter. She was the sweetest thing and all she wanted to do was get in the water (and eventually did at one point with Dad soaked as well).

We started off at the lighthouse area to capture a couple of photos there and then jumped back in the cars and went around back to the beach. While others may charge for multiple locations, I’m not one of them especially since it’s right here. So, they got a 2 for 1 deal with a little variety in their images.

We had a great time, captured some great pictures, and below is a sampling of the oodles that were taken. Enjoy!

I had a great time with all of them here and was even messing with the two younger guys and telling them that I could school them in Modern Warfare. LOL …

In any case, we set up to meet in Ponce Inlet due to the seclusion in that area and were able to capture some great pictures. Ponce is nice as there is hardly anyone there due to the restrictions, etc. (all the more reason to shoot there) and I think the images came out great! Below is a few handful from what I took with them. :-)

We had a session earlier this year in the gardens, we did a session at the beach early one morning, and then wrapped up things with a session downtown in Daytona Beach on Beach street.

In addition to being a black belt in TaeKwonDo, she is also a martial arts instructor, enjoys basketball, and has aspirations of being a medial doctor one day down the road. She has been an absolute trip to work with and I wish her the best in all of her future endeavors!

We were fortunate to have the session on one of the cooler days (in the 70s), and the little guy was loving it outside – so much so, that I thought a couple of times there, he might crash out on us. I was actually tempted to lay down with him and crash out – the breeze was so nice. Lol … I explained to his Mom that we would take our time and not to worry if he gets fussy – if we needed 5 minutes or 20 minutes, it was no big deal and not to feel rushed if he gets upset. All in all, he was very cooperative throughout the entire time and the only time he did get upset was when Mom wanted him to wear a little hat. He was like, “Umm … no … we’re not doing that …” Haha

Mom and Dad and one of their daughters were visiting in the Orlando area and wanted to have some beach portraits taken before everyone went their separate ways again. You know me and family pics – I’m down with that! I was contacted about photographing their family prior to their arrival and after finally meeting them in the Ponce Inlet area, we took off for some fun.

They were definitely a lot of fun to work with. I had them laughing – they definitely had me laughing – and in the midst of it all, we were able to capture some great images. Below is a few samples of the many that were taken! Enjoy!

And aside from photography, video has been a love of mine for many years. I’ve been well versed in most of the major editing applications for years and have an absolute love of Adobe’s After Effects. Believe it or not, I’m in that application more that I’m in Lightroom or Photoshop. Although I’ve used the Final Cut Suite before, I prefer the Adobe CS Suite and currently edit, produce, and render on the CS5 platform as well as Sony’s Vegas software.

So, the big announcement is that in addition to photography services, I will also be offering wedding videography services as well. I truly believe that my eye as a photographer and my knowledge of video gives me an edge and I’m always striving to stand out from the crowd (i.e. there are no static DVD menus here, etc).

I had the awesome opportunity to photograph this family recently, coming together from all parts of the US to be with their parents and enjoy each others company. Everyone was fun to work with, the kids were great, and I truly believe that Grandma/Grandpa (obviously the focal point during this time) had a blast while we were all out their together.

I took a few minutes with each family to grab some family shots, shots with Mom/Dad, and mixed it up while we were all together. This was one session, looking back now, where I wish I would have grabbed some video during this time. Oh well – I’m sure they’ll be another large family in the future! Hint, hint.
